Ngày 12/6, tại diễn đàn doanh nghiệp Việt Nam - Thụy Điển với chủ đề “Chuyển đổi xanh, chuyển đổi số, đổi mới sáng tạo”, diễn ra tại Stockholm (Thuỵ Điển), ông Hồ Quốc Dũng - Bí thư Tỉnh ủy Bình Định đã trao Giấy chứng nhận đăng ký đầu tư dự án Tổ hợp sản xuất tái chế vải Polyester cho Công ty SYRE Impact AB.
Lễ trao Giấy chứng nhận dự án diễn ra dưới sự chứng kiến của Thủ tướng Chính phủ Phạm Minh Chính; Phó Thủ tướng Bùi Thanh Sơn - Bộ trưởng Bộ Ngoại giao; Bộ trưởng Bộ Hợp tác quốc tế và Ngoại thương Thụy Điển Benjamin Dousa cùng lãnh đạo các bộ, ngành của Việt Nam và Thụy Điển.
Dự án Tổ hợp sản xuất tái chế vải Polyester có tổng vốn đầu tư lên đến 1 tỷ USD (tương đương khoảng 24.970 tỷ đồng), với mục tiêu tái chế phế liệu dệt may thành hạt nhựa PET, phục vụ ngành công nghiệp dệt may thân thiện với môi trường.
Dự kiến, khi đi vào vận hành ổn định, dự án sẽ đạt công suất từ 150.000 đến 250.000 tấn sản phẩm PET/năm.
Đây là một trong những dự án có quy mô lớn nhất từ trước đến nay trong lĩnh vực tái chế chất thải dệt may tại Việt Nam, được kỳ vọng sẽ đóng góp tích cực vào mục tiêu phát triển bền vững và chuyển đổi xanh trong ngành công nghiệp dệt may tại Việt Nam, đồng thời tạo ra nhiều việc làm cho lao động địa phương và thúc đẩy tăng trưởng kinh tế – công nghiệp tại khu vực Nam Trung Bộ.
Dự án cũng thể hiện cam kết mạnh mẽ của tỉnh Bình Định trong chiến lược thu hút đầu tư gắn với chuyển đổi xanh và phát triển bền vững.
